Annotations

1. ↑ The correct German for 'history' is 'historie', though a fan has offered a possible explanation for this discrepancy. 'His' is the German word for the musical note B#, which is the same as C on a piano - the very first note in this song. Thus, the line could possibly encompass both meanings of 'And only history remained...' and 'And only B# remained...'.
2. ↑ This line is a direct continuation of the last narration in Gyoukou no Uta, 'The funeral bell tolls seven times for an era; the impulse recedes-'.
3. ↑ Will and Louis are nicknames, a possible reference to the Brothers Grimm, Jacob Ludwig Carl Grimm and Wilhelm Carl Grimm.
4. ↑ In the 5.1ch surround audio version of the song, the line 'Light is so warm...' could be heard faintly in the background, sung by März.
