Name

This is the unknown 『Roman』 (lit. Fifth Story)... of the nameless 『dying man』...
Séamus.... or William....
They're all but tales of the past…
Hoshi no Kirei na Yoru (Night of Beautiful Stars), Maxi Single Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari.

Two names are featured near the end of Hoshi no Kirei na Yoru, with Séamus suggesting Irish origin and William indicating an English background, strongly supportive of his mixed ancestry mentioned in the beginning of the song.

While the Maxi Single doesn't outright say he is related to Kathleen Livermore, it is strongly indicated and thus it can be assumed that The Nameless Man's surname is also Livermore.

Appearance

The Nameless Man has unkempt mid-back hair in a shade of pumpkin, tied into a low ponytail on the back. His attire consists of a brown overcoat, a light-brown undercoat, a white shirt, a brown thin ribbon tie and grayish-brown long pants. In the concert, during the war he wore a navy-blue military coat, secured by a white belt, and white pants, accompanied by a navy-blue hat and black boots. He uses a crutch to support himself after sustaining a wound to his leg in the battle.

Role

Hoshi no Kirei na Yoru

The song traces back to his mixed ancestry, as his grandfather gave up on being a stonecutter and travelled to Ireland to become a farmer.

There was an eccentric man who sailed from Great Britain to Ireland
As if to go against a new wave of industrial revolution

Later, the Great Famine struck the land, leaving everyone devastated; the Nameless Man committed himself to a risky sail toward America. His participation in the Mexican-American war was concluded with a stray bullet that rendered his kneecap hopeless, and he witnessed the coming gold rush while indulging withdrawal thoughts, drunk and jobless.

“I don't care when I die”... that's how he lived...
But even the [wandering man]... had but one thing on his heart...

The last part of the song reveals the existence of his little sister back in their homeland, whom receives financial support from him, as well as the woman with whom he is in a romantic relationship. The good news that his loves is now with child comes, yet followed by a cruel turn as he gets stabbed on Halloween night by a man who desires his lover as well.
