The following message was posted on the Sound Horizon Official Website on July 13th, 2012, concerning the release of the Elysion – Welcome to RAKUEN PARADE LIVE DVD Encore Press Version.
In relation to the re-release of the Limited Edition DVD Elysion – Welcome to RAKUEN PARADE on July 25th as an Encore Press Version, we let everybody know that this is not a decision made by Revo, nor by Rap Products.
We learned about it when it was announced at the Sound Horizon’s Archives special page and the King Records Official Site on April 13th, 2012.
Revo and his company were not contacted nor asked about it, and Bellwood Records and King Records, by re-releasing this First Press edition, were betraying all those fans who bought the actual First Press edition back in 2006, so it was against Revo’s purposes. For these reasons, we requested the release to be cancelled when it was announced.
Subsequently, while we didn’t get a response to our request, it was announced that the bonus Photobook of the Portraits of the Girls, which was said to come together with the DVD, was being taken out of the release.
Releases like the present one are by no means something we are happy about. However, the agreement with the record company gives artists and their offices no right of decision over past releases, so other products might come out from now on. On the other hand, we want all fans to enjoy Sound Horizon’s music, so we’ll be happy if fans want to experience past releases with their own eyes when they happen to come out again.
